Political Journey

The Story Behind my Political Journey

I come from one of Rajasthan’s most respected political families. My grandfather, Late Shri Mohan Lal Sukhadia ji, fondly remembered as the Architect of Modern Rajasthan, served as Chief Minister for an unprecedented 17 years before taking on the roles of Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, as well as Union Minister. My grandmother also carried forward this tradition of public service as the Member of Parliament from Udaipur.

Inspired by this legacy, I officially joined the Indian National Congress in 2006 with a firm resolve to build my path from the grassroots. My political journey began with the Indian Youth Congress, where I worked as District Coordinator for the Aam Aadmi Ka Sipahi program initiated by Shri Rahul Gandhi ji, and attended its residential training program in Hyderabad.

From there, I steadily rose through organizational responsibilities — serving as Vice President of the Block Congress Committee, General Secretary of the Udaipur District Congress, and today, Vice President of the Udaipur District Congress. Each role has strengthened my commitment to people-centric politics, grassroots empowerment, and the values of service and integrity that define the Congress tradition.
